How the Synapse-9 app and dashboard are designed to work. Neither has been released. Every screen here is a design mockup with example data, and details may change before the beta.

The iPhone app

The app runs on your phone overnight and connects to the S-9 band. In the morning it shows how you slept and whether the night was accepted as training data.

iPhone mockup of the Tonight screen at 03:23: deep sleep, live brain-wave traces, a sleep-stage chart so far, and the band connected.
Tonight If you wake up and check, you see the time, your sleep stage and the band's status. Otherwise the screen stays off, with no alerts.
iPhone mockup of the Last night screen: 6 hours 58 minutes asleep, a sleep-stage chart, time in each stage, a dream question, and the night accepted as training data with its 128-bit vector.
Last night How long you slept, your sleep stages, and whether the night was accepted. You can also note whether you remember a dream.
iPhone mockup of the Earnings screen: the rate shown as set before the beta starts, 20 of 22 nights accepted, a list of recent nights, and a button to add a payout method.
Earnings Which nights count. Rates are set before the beta starts, and you'll see them before you earn anything. No amount is guaranteed.
iPhone mockup of the Your data screen: switches for recording and Society, then options to download or delete data and leave the program.
Your data Stop recording, leave Society, or download or delete your data.

The training data dashboard

A web view of the same account. It shows every night you've recorded, which ones were accepted, and where they were used.

Dashboard mockup headed Your training data: 22 nights in rows coloured by sleep stage, 20 of them accepted, a panel for one night with its 128-bit vector and checks, and a table of three training runs.
Overview Each row is one night, coloured by sleep stage. Select a night to see its checks and its 128-bit vector. Below that are the training runs your nights were used in. Open full size
Dashboard mockup of one night: a frequency chart, a sleep-stage chart and a phone processing chart lined up on one timeline, with 30 seconds of traces from three contacts and the night's 128-bit vector.
A single night Brain activity by frequency, your sleep stage and your phone's processing, on one timeline. Protocol 9 raises processing during deep and REM sleep. Open full size
